Cougars Highschool football team raises $9742 with flamingo fundraiser
High school certainly means studies, activities, enjoyment and lots of sporting events. There are a number of schools that are facing too much of financial crises just like any other corporations; so the very first things that go certainly are considered as non-essentials. Just a quick heads up to everyone. Saturday, June 20th is the official Pink Flamingo Day. Help set a world record by placing 4 or more pink plastic flamingos on your yard. Take a photo and submit them to us at info@plastic-flamingos.com.
Those interested in this event can visit PinkFlamingoDay.com to get
further information. To participate, just set up a display of a minimum
of 4 pink flamingos in a yard with a sign that says, "Celebrating Pink
Flamingo Day! PinkFlamingoDay.com" and take a photo of it. The
association will also accept a short video file in .avi format. Email
your photos and video to admin@lawn-greetings.org along with your name,
contact information and location of the display. The display needs to
be placed in the yard on June 23rd, by 9am and can not be taken down
until 9pm the same night.

Flamingo flocking is fun and can generate significant funds for youth ministries and other groups. Having more variations can help make it fun and keep it interesting! A few fun variations to add to your flaming flocking efforts.
- Offer Flamigngo Insurance - a small payment to "avoid" having the flock visit your yard
- Decorate one special flamingo - you could even order an angel flamingo and hide it among the flock and offer a special prize to the yard who has the special flamingo
- Offer Premium Flamingo Forwarding Services - for an additional fee, you get to choose the next yard to be flocked
- Flock businesses with high auto and foot traffic for maximum exposure
- Find homes for your flock - at the end of your fundraising efforts, give your highest donors a complementary pair of pink plastic flamingos
- Sell t-shirts that say "I've been flocked!" we have them for sale in S, M, L, XL and they ship in 2 weeks
- Set up a block using using Facebook, myspace, or flicker and post fun pictures of your flock

Some other tips
Larger flocks work best: A flock generally consists of 20 flamingos (10 pair). We've found that a 20 bird flock grabs people's attention.
More Flocks = More Money: Flamingo flocking is more successful with multiple flocks. The more flocks you have, the more you'll earn. 10 flocks x $15 per day per flock can earn you $150 per day or $1000 per week!

Summary: Fundraising activities are supposed to raise money for a particular cause. But fundraising itself requires large amounts to money in order to kick start the fundraising. This article discusses ways through which money can be raised with little or no money.
Many non-government and charity organizations as well as individuals hold fundraisers so as to raise the money to support their cause. The problem is that in order to hold such fundraising activities one has to invest large amounts of money so as to initiate the fundraisers. This investment is required in order to advertise, to pay the volunteers. And to pay for the items which are given away during the fundraisers. There are however some techniques available through which one can have a fundraising with little or no money. These techniques are very simple to use but some of them require thinking out of the box.
